For the first time since the Section 301 tariffs have been applied to goods out of China we are hearing that China has agreed to roll back the tariffs in simultaneous stages if the trade talks with the US advance. Normally our news is always coming from the White House however this time Chinas Commerce Ministry made the announcement first. We do not know if this means that the news is more reliable and we do not know if “phase-one” has been finalized. What we do know is that progress is being reported and that is always a good sign. If different news is reported out of the White House I will post more info when available.
