The FIRST Section 301 Tariff List has been published. The USTR has broken the original list of approximately 1300 HTS codes into 2 separate lists. The first list is 818 HTS codes that represent 34 billion dollars worth of trade with China. The additional duty rate is 25% and the effective date is for goods arriving on or after July 6, 2018. The 2nd list covers 284 tariffs that account for approximately 16 billion dollars worth of trade. As of now the HTS on the 2nd list are under review and an effective date has not been determined.
